Our trained Instructors will talk you through the moves you need to make to build your strength, burn fat and improve your cardiovascular health and suppleness. You’ll be working your major muscle groups and elevating your heart rate while you enjoy the music and the fun of exercising with others.
Aquafit is great if you want to lose weight. Immersion in warm water has many subtle benefits for weight loss; improved blood circulation, support from the water and standing up straighter. Each of these makes the exercises more effective. The exercises in this fitness class are excellent for everyone and have special benefits for athletes and stroke survivors. Being in the water can also improve your mood and mental health.
The Kayak Rolling class is being run by one of our swimming instructors, Ciarán Seawright. Ciarán has been interested in and has enjoyed kayaking recreationally for years, after getting his qualifications in the sport in his early twenties.
He now feels that teaching the techniques to kayak rolling and personal safety will be of massive benefit to a community where the sport is rapidly gaining popularity.
